EVERYDAY, our lives should reflect how we acknowledge and celebrate the historical and current impact various races of people have on moving mankind forward. As we thrive and apply lessons learned, we continue teaching and establishing a firm foundation for our next generations. For we all stand on the shoulders of our ancestors, who sacrificed and made significant and meaningful impacts throughout their life journey.
-
“A life of learning yields opportunities.
-
“Serving God and others creates a sense of connection and community.”
-
“Love people where they are, changing them is not your responsibility.”
-
“There is only one of you, don’t waste your time living someone else’s lie.”
There are so many other nuggets I could share, but as I observed how my grandmother and father lived their lives, what impacted me most was that making a positive impact in this world does not occur on a large scale. It occurs in the incremental breaths and steps each of us take with our immediate sphere of influence. These increments create a consistent ripple in the continuum of life, gaining momentum as our bond with our sphere of influence grows more intentional, purposeful, and extensive.
