VOTE . . . ARE WE INSANE?

Expressed by: Cassandra Dennis

Countdown

The Presidential election is right around the corner let our VOICE be heard.

How?

  1. Allow our completed & submitted official ballot speak up for us.
  2. Speak out at our local Town Hall and City Council meetings.
  3. Call and write our elected officials to remind them of the issues that are important to us.

If we neglect to remind them why they were elected it becomes easier for them to operate from a personal agenda.

Yes, to whom much is given, much is required (Luke 12:48). If we decide not to participate in the electoral and political process of our country, then we have no reason to complain. But one of the greatest things about our country is freedom of speech. In this day and age of social media, everyone is free to share their opinion without offering a viable solution or even participating to make our American systems and communities better.

Keep in mind insane means to do the same thing continuously but expect different results. The poem by an Anonymous author, Everybody, Anybody, Somebody and Nobody reminds us at some point Someone must step up to the plate.

This is a story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody and Nobody.

There was an important job to do and Everybody was asked to do it.

Everybody was sure Somebody would do it.

Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.

Somebody got angry because it was Everybody’s job.

Everybody thought Anybody would do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn’t do it.

It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

America, at what point do we stop the insane rat race mentality, unite and make the needed changes for us to truly stand as the United States of America.
